Our lives have changed! My son Louis recently turned 17 and as an August baby has always been the youngest of his peers. Needless to say he’s been absolutely desperate to start driving for months! But who to choose as his instructor? After doing some research we opted for Robyn, her reviews were comforting and reassuring enough but then we learned she’d just won the Intelligent Instructor of the Year 2019 for the South East of England. In short(!) 10 lessons later and a 2 hour lesson before his test, we received a photo which depicted Louis in front of her Mini with his Pass Certificate! He asked me if I’d write this review; we’ve hardly seen him since last week! He loved learning with her and knows more than just actual driving skills, respect for other road users, being safe, an intelligent driver makes for more relaxed parents. Thank you Robyn

Robyn wasn't my first instructor when starting out as I found I wasn't progressing with my previous instructor.  The idea of changing instructors was intimidating but became one of the best decisions I made when I found Robyn.

​

When I passed on to Robyn she was very flexible to work around my work rota and provided more hours which showed immediate improvement in my confidence when driving.  She's both a laugh and a relaxing companion to have in the car that I miss immensely while now driving on my own.  I used to be particularly  anxious when approaching roundabouts but am now as confident driving on them as any other road.

​

Although feeling comfortable and having a laugh with your instructor is important, the way they teach is the main priority.  Driving with Robyn has taught me to be more aware of what's around me, with easy to follow reference points when performing manoeuvres.  She has good knowledge of the local area to encounter all types of road layouts from three lanes to tight country roads.  With her encouragement and training techniques, I managed to pass my practical first time, but I feel what makes her so special is how she prepares you for what comes after your test.

Robyn is a wonderful teacher to have when learning to drive and I will be recommending her to anyone wanting to start their lessons.
